Here's a few dog rescue centres that
we've found on t'internet. Bewarned when you go though - they
can be very distressing places to visit, basically prison for
dogs. The Dogs are usually desperate to get out and will do
anything for your attention. Sometimes though it's the quietest
dogs at the back that catch your eye - they can look so
vulnerable, like they've given up.
It's not all bad though - my boy Raja
was one of the quiet ones, no interaction in him but my wife
loved him at first sight. On the way home he put his head on
mine straight away in the car - cute I thought. It took about 9
months to truly get to know him but honestly, couldn't wish for
a better dog. So don't ignore the quiet ones at the back....
I digress. Cesar Milan's advice is not
to show weakness at the dog rescue centre - gets you off to a
bad start and that's probably true. So be strong, remember you
can't save everyone, and go and find your doggy.....
